We hope our world gets a reprieve from all the disasters and an opportunity to heal. But when tragedy does strike, I hope we can all unite again to help those in need.

How Can You Help?

Indie Authors Relief Fund is brand new and we can use all the help we can get! Here's how:

• Bid on the items up for auction! We have some great books, swag and other items offered up by indie and small press authors. Scroll down below and check out the older posts. Find something that catches your interest? Make a bid in the comments.
• Spread the word! Brenda Pandos has made us some really cool buttons and badges over here. Add one to your page. Tweet about it. Post it on Facebook. Tell your friends!
• Donate! If you're an indie or small press author and want to donate books, swag, critique or other services, etc., please email kristie (at) kristiecook (dot) com or indierelief (at) angdora (dot) com
• Thank the authors! Indie authors are responsible for everything about their book, including marketing costs and donations. So please send a tweet or post on their FB wall to thank them for their donations.

Current auctions run through 11:59 p.m. EST, 3/20/11, although that may change, depending on response. Winning bidders will be notified by email of how to pay (via PayPal). ALL proceeds go to support disaster relief efforts for Japan following the March 11, 2011, earthquake and tsunami.

Welcome to the Indie Authors Relief Fund, where indie- and self-published authors join forces to raise money for those in need. Started by Kristie Cook, with the assistance of Brenda Pandos and Ang'dora Productions, in March 2011 after the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. Our first project is to raise money for the victims of this crisis. All proceeds of this project will be donated to support relief efforts in Japan.

We'll be hosting auctions with all goods and services donated by indie authors. You can get some really awesome bookish items while helping the people of Japan. It's a win for everyone and don't we all need a little goodness in our lives right now?
